The creation of the EuroGroup for Animal Law Studies is a groundbreaking move expected to increase the academic impact and institutional efficiency of the founding members for the development of Animal Law as a new academic field in Europe by combining their expertise, competences and knowledge in the field of Animal Law studies. It will also create opportunities for the European legal community to share knowledge and practical skills and to develop networking opportunities.
Among others, the promotion of Animal Law will be fostered by the organization of an annual Animal Law Conference which will be hosted on a rotating basis by the founding partners, always at the same time period of the year (April) in order to be easily remembered by the public.
The first Annual Animal Law Conference is expected to be held in April 2014 at the Law School of the University of Basel. More information about exact time schedule, program and speakers shall be available in fall 2013 on the Web sites of the founding members.
