SUMMARY

On October 21, 2016, the Final Master's Works (TFM) of the Master of Animal Law and Society of its On-line modality was exposed by the fifteen students, who constitute the 5th edition of the Master in the academic year 2015-2016.

The TFM is the closure to these interdisciplinary higher studies, taught at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, which have trained the fifteen magisterials as professionals who have the necessary legal knowledge on animal protection, to meet the challenges presented to them in relation to animals. These competences have been acquired through the theoretical and practical tools that are taught in this exclusive and innovative Master's program directed by Dr. Teresa Giménez-Candela, founder of the Master of Animal and Society Law and researcher and professor of Animal Law and Roman Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

The On-line modality of the Master of Animal Law and Society has a modern design that adapts to the needs and possibilities of the students, Which can be seen during such expositions, since it is possible to defend the TFM by video call through the Skype platform for all those students who did not have possibility of displacement.

The defenses of the TFM were developed in the schedule of 09: 30h. to 13:00 a.m. and 15: 00h. to 18: 00h., in front of the professionals of Animal Law constituted in two courts. The first court was chaired by Dr. Carlos Contreras, along with Dr. Jose Antonio Jiménez Buendia and Mag. Cristina Bécares. The second court was also chaired by Dr. Carlos Contreras, accompanied by Dr. Alberto Varona and Mag. Sara Hebrard.

After the defenses, the corresponding court proceeded to ask a set of questions to the students regarding the content of their TFM. Finally, the courts met to evaluate the work presented.
