ABSTRACT

On January 9 and 10, 2014, the students and staff of the Master in Animal Law and Society had the pleasure and the honor to participate in the class sessions led by Prof. Dr. Anne Peters, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg (Germany), and Professor of International Law and Constitutional Law at the University of Basel (Switzerland).
The class summary, elaborated by the Master┬┤s Student Tisa Kosem, describes in detail the matters, cases and controversies taught by Prof. Peters at the global arena and how international organizations, nation states, supranational entities, and other international actors combine to shape global animal welfare policy.
