Prosecutor requests 10 months in prison on the presumption of animal abuse for allowing two horses to die

The events occurred in January 2013, when SEPRONA [Service for the Protection of Nature] arrived to a plot of land in the county of Coín (Málaga), where they found “three individual stables with three horses, two of which were deceased and the third in a state of emaciation, without water or food and idling in its own excrement”.

The Prosecutor classified the events as presumed animal abuse, as established with sentencing guidelines in article 337 of the Criminal Code, requesting 10 months in prison and a 2-year special disqualification from exercising any profession, trade or business related with animals.
