The congress will take place at the Campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB): at the Hotel Campus.
The UAB campus is located in Bellaterra, in the municipal area of Cerdanyola del Vallès, about 20 km. far away from downtown Barcelona and 25 km. from Barcelona's El Prat airport. The campus occupies a surface area of 230 hectares and is fully linked to Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia by highway, local roads and bus and train services.

The Campus is located in a non-urban area, surrounded by forest; some of the services offered are bars and restaurants, housing, sports facilities, shops, departmental libraries and study centres.

The Hotel Campus is an urban hotel in a natural environment, with forests and green areas. The rooms are fully equipped with bathroom, satellite TV, four telephone-computing connecting points, mini-bar fridge and safe. Other services: restaurant, coffee-bar, laundry, newspapers and room service.

HOW TO GET THE CAMPUS

It is integrated in the public transport system of the Regió Metropolitana de Barcelona. The motorways AP-7 and C-58 also guarantee good private transport routes from Barcelona and the main Catalan capitals.

From the airport:

• By bus: there is no public transportation that connects directly with the UAB Campus. You have to take the aerobus in front of your arrival terminal until Catalunya Square (Barcelona), the length of the trip is approximately 30 minutes, and runs from 06.00 AM till 00:30 AM. The cost of one-way trip is about 4,50 € and round trip is about 7,50 €, tickets can be bought on the bus (no change over 10.00 € given).
Once you are in Catalunya square take the train of FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) direction Sabadell (S2) or direction UAB (S55) and stop at Bellaterra Station. • By train: The airport station is situated opposite Terminal 2, and is connected to this terminal via an airbridge. There is also a Bustransit service between the train station and Terminal 1. One you are in the Station, you have to take the train to Barcelona and stop at

Passeig de Gràcia Station. The length of the trip is about 15-20 minutes. In Passeig de Gràcia Station, take the metro Line 3 (green) to Plaça Catalunya Station. Once you are in Catalunya station, take the train of FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) direction Sabadell (S2) or direction UAB (S55) and stop at Bellaterra Station. The length of this trip is about 30 minutes. In this case, you can by a T-día 2 zones ticket at the Airport that costs 9,30 € and it can be used for the whole day many trips and transportation you need. • By taxi: taxis in Barcelona are in colour black and yellow, may be ordered by phone, picked up at authorized taxi stands or flagged down in the street. Always check that the meter is running. Taxis must usually be paid in cash though some accept credit cards. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the UAB Campus is between 50,00 and 60,00 €.

From Barcelona to the UAB Campus:

• By train: once you are in Catalunya square take the train of FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) direction Sabadell (S2) or direction UAB (S55) and stop at Bellaterra Station. The length of the trip is about 30 minutes. The cost is of one-way trip is 2,10 €, you can also buy a ten-way trips ticket which cost is 15,70 €. Timetables: www.fgc.net/accesible/eng/viatjar/s2.htm

• By taxi: taxis in Barcelona are in colour black and yellow, may be ordered by phone, picked up at authorized taxi stands or flagged down in the street. Always check that the meter is running. Taxis must usually be paid in cash though some accept credit cards. The cost of a taxi from Barcelona to the UAB Campus is approximately 45 €

• By car: The easiest way to arrive to the UAB by car or any other private transport is by motorway:
_If you are on the motorway AP-7, heading Girona-France, take the exit at junction Universitat Autònoma
_If you are in the motorway C-58, heading Sabadell-Terrasa, take the exit at junction 8, which is connected to the AP-7, heading to Tarragona. Stay on the service road of the AP-7 and about 1000 meter away you will find the junction of the Universitat Autònoma.

How to move inside the UAB Campus: inside the UAB Campus there is free bus service that communicates with the different buildings of the campus.

Travel within Barcelona:
Barcelona has a good, comprehensive public transport network, with special ten-trip (7,85 €) and one-trip (1,40 €), two-day pass (11,20 €), three day-pass (15,90 €), four-day pass (20,40 €) and five-day passes (24,10 €) valid on buses, metros and local trains.

Taxis are abundant in Barcelona and are black and yellow. They may be ordered by phone, found at authorized taxi stands or flagged down in the street. Please always check that the meter is running. Taxis must usually be paid in cash although some accept credit cards.

Free parking is very limited in the city centre and car parks are expensive, so car rental is only recommended to use outside the city.
