New Ordinance for the Protection and Ownership of Potentially Dangerous Animals in Salas (Asturias)

Since January 1, the Regulating Ordinance for the Protection and Ownership of Potentially Dangerous Animals has been in force in Salas (Asturias).

This Ordinance was published on January 29 in the BOPA, [Official Bulletin of the Province of Asturias], and includes among other dispositions:

-Obligation to obtain an ownership licence for animals considered potentially dangerous.
-Obligation to register these animals, including pit bull terriers, Rottweilers, Argentinian dogos, Brazilian Mastiff and Tosa Inu.
-Obligations regarding the welfare of the animal and polite living with neighbors.
-Establishment of proceedings to follow in case of abuse or aggression.
