Prosecutor asks for a year imprisonment for throwing a dog from the sixth floor


The Prosecutor of Cáceres has created a written accusation against the youth who presumably killed a French Bulldog, after throwing him through a sixth-floor window.

In this report, the events are classified as constituting the crime of animal abuse which carries with it a year imprisonment, as well as a special disqualification from the exercise of any profession, business or trade that relates with animals for a period of two years. With regards to civil responsibility, the Prosecutor requests a payment to the animal’s owner of 3000 Euros for moral damages, as well as the 700 Euros that the owner paid for the dog.
