Six arrested for stealing 34 greyhounds

Six persons between 27 and 33 years old were arrested in the province of Badajoz as the presumed perpetrators of stealing 34 Spanish Greyhounds with the goal of hunting or “ransoming” them.

Many of the dogs recovered had manipulated microchips. Nine have been returned to their owners. Objects associated with the “undue manipulation” in the animals were found where the registration took place.

The events are in the instructional phase, with the operation still open and with seven criminal acts having been declared at the moment.
