Couple arrested for the presumed crime of animal abuse after the rescue of 39 dogs

Agents of Seprona [Service for the Protection of Nature] rescued 39 dogs in Maella (Zaragoza). All of these were tied, without shelter, without food, sick and in a state of malnutrition; and of these three died due to their state of health. IN the same farm, Seprona found dogs buried and were not able to determine the number.

The arrested persons, a Dutch couple of 34 and 24 years of age, were charged with the crime of animal abuse.

The acts were reported by an individual and an animal protector. The couple presumably collected the animals in order to care for them and then to give them up for adoption (in an irregular form) in EU countries.
