Animal abuse includes the 'tamed'

The criminal conduct of animal abuse will apply to both domestic animals and to 'tame' (iguanas, chameleons ...), and also punish those who abandon an animal to its fate, condemning them to a slow and safe agony. Thus a circular detailing the Attorney General's Office, which provides criteria for interpreting the latest reform of the Penal Code in relation to environmental crimes.

This would include exotic animals such as iguanas, chameleons, snakes, etc., purchased as pets or similar assumptions

Includes unwarranted abuse cases, 'unfortunately becoming more frequent' serious lack of attention and care of animals that have led to situations 'deplorable', by keeping them in conditions of malnutrition and utter lack of sanitation and hygiene.
