The following regulatory provisions are named in chronological order, with a brief reference to its contents:

Amendment to paragraph 3 of Annex 2 of the Agreement on conservation of cetaceans in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Contiguous Atlantic Area (published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) no. 150 of 23 June 2001), adopted in the 4th meeting of the Parties in Monaco on 12 November 2010


Under this agreement, published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of 12/10/2011, the parties will strive to create and manage especially protected areas for cetaceans that correspond to the habitat of cetaceans or to areas that provide significant food sources.

Royal Decree 1274/2011, of 16 September, approving the Strategic plan on natural heritage and biodiversity 2011-2017, applying Law 42/2007, of 13 December, on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity


The Strategic plan on natural heritage and biodiversity 2011-2017 was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on 30/9/2011, applying Law 42/2007, of 13 December, on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, which is based on the general principles derived from applying the Biodiversity Agreement, on those set out in the EU biodiversity policy and on those contained in Law 42/2007.

Secretary of State for Climate Change resolution of 21 September 2011, publishing the Agreements from the Environment Sector Conference concerning natural heritage and biodiversity


The Environment Sector Conference is the consultancy and collaboration body of the National Government and Regional Governments to coordinate their environmental policies and actions. The latest agreements were published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on 10/10/2011.

Government Council agreement of 27 September 2011 approving the Andalusian Strategy on Integrated Biodiversity Management


Approval of the Andalusian Strategy on Integrated Biodiversity Management was published in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA) on 13/10/2011, which is the core that unites and defines the Andalusian policy on natural heritage policy.

Regulation (EU) no. 1007/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 September 2011, on textile fibre names and related labelling and marking of the fibre composition of textile products and which repeals Council Directive 73/44/EEC and Directives 96/73/EC and 2008/121/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council


This regulation, which will be applicable from May 2012, and which was published in the OJEU of 18/10/2011, is pronounced to lay down rules concerning the labelling or marking of certain textile products that contain non-textile parts of animal origin (certain fibres of animal origin, cattle hair, goat hair, horsehair, wool, silk, etc.). In particular, it sets out the requirements applicable to specify the presence of non-textile parts of animal origin on the labelling or marking of textile products containing such parts, in order to enable consumers to make informed choices. The labelling or marking should not be misleading. Article 12 states that:
The presence of non-textile parts of animal origin in textile products shall be indicated by using the phrase ‘Contains non-textile parts of animal origin’ on the labelling or marking of products containing such parts whenever they are made available on the market. The labelling or marking shall not be misleading and shall be carried out in such a way that the consumer can easily understand.

Decree 203/2011, of 27 September, of the General Register of Farms in the Basque Country


This decree, published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) of 19/10/2011, states that in addition to the appropriate requirements, the Register should also include the physical person in charge of the care and welfare of the animals.

Law 10/2007, of 29 June, on Assistance Dogs for the Care of Persons with Disabilities


This law, published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) of 26/10/2011, aims to acknowledge and guarantee to anyone who, as the result of a disability, is accompanied by an assistance dog, the right to access, roam and remain with it in any place, establishment or public transport, regardless of whether it is publicly or privately owned.
