Man sentenced to nine months in prison and two and a half year trade prohibition for stabbing his dog in Navas del Madroño

A judge in Cáceres has sentenced a man to nine months in prison and a two and half year prohibition of “the exercise of any profession, trade, or business which relates to animals” for stabbing his dog in Navas del Madroño (Cáceres) and leaving the dog to bleed to death.

The case took place in June 2009 and the sentence was passed on Wednesday, May 4 in Cáceres, where the Federación de Protectoras de Animales de Extremadura (Fepaex) (Federation of Animal Protectors of Extremadura) acted as the accusing party.
